Five months. One brand.
A system built for the next exit.

Founded by cybersecurity operators who had already sold a company. Backed by Okta Ventures, SE Ventures, and Crosspoint Capital. Five months ago we came in to build the identity.

The engagement

"We've not done branding or marketing - almost out of spite."
— Dov Yoran, CEO & Co-Founder

Command Zero comes in with a $10M round, SOC 2 Type 2, and an RSAC Innovation Sandbox Top 10 finish.

We start with stakeholder interviews, questionnaires, and heatmaps of the current site.

Direction: MONO
January 2026
We present MONO on January 22. Swiss grid, Helvetica Neue, monochrome, one accent. The CØ monogram — a C locked into a slashed Ø — lands first try.
“Andy doesn’t talk like a designer pitching a project. He talks about Vignelli, Swiss grids from the 1930s, and the discipline behind why something works for 30 years instead of 30 months. That’s why I trust the system he built for us — it gives the product room to grow without the brand fighting it.” — Dean De Beer, CTO & Co-Founder

The system
February 2026
16-page brand guidelines ship February 12. Neutral ramp, typography, logo grid, three accent variants.

A system the team can extend without us in the room.

“Andy embedded with us like a co-founder, not a contractor. He pushed where we needed to be pushed, and the brand he built does work the rest of our team would otherwise have to do — every time someone sees it, the positioning lands. Smartest brand investment we’ve made.”

Erdem Menges, VP of Product Marketing

Applied identity
February 2026
Business cards, LinkedIn covers, email signatures, rollup, stage backdrops, ebook, branded apparel. Twenty asset families in three weeks.

“My daughter is studying branding in college. After Andy’s last presentation, I asked if we could share the recording with her. That’s the highest compliment I can give. He’s the rare partner who treats brand as a craft, not a deliverable.”

Alfred Huger,
Co-founder & CPO

RSAC, in contrast
March 2026
RSAC runs heavy. AI Noise everywhere. Command Zero goes the other way — circles, whitespace, type. The restraint is the statement.

"One partner. One system. Every room we walk into." — Erdem Menges, VP of Product Marketing

This isn't about making the design pretty, it's about how it works and easy to explain.

April 2026
The brand expands to the web. Built with Dean so the type, color, and spacing give the product room to evolve — no restriction as the platform grows. Staging live April 9; rollout continues and extends to LinkedIn video posts and ads.

🚀 launch & go!
LinkedIn ads. Google ads. Investor one-pagers. A 12-page ebook. The brand is now doing outbound on its own.

This is where it gets fun. Launch, collect data, A/B test, & use wins across all platforms.

One system
Today
The identity, the web, the deck, and the RSAC program are now a single system. The system Lake Austin Design built keeps doing the work.

“We launched without marketing or branding — out of focus, maybe out of spite.

Andy was worth waiting for. The work is timeless in a way that lets us focus on what actually matters: product and customers.

Three years from now, this brand still works. That’s what I needed.”

Dov, Co-founder of Command Zero
